The course focuses on the financial and regulatory policies that affect the functioning of the healthcare system. Course content includes issues, trends, and problems related to economic, legal, and political factors that impact healthcare delivery. A collaborative project will allow the students to identify a current issue in their workplace and analyze its impact on their local practice and in the nursing profession.
