Catalog description
The course provides the students an exposure to the diverse populations in the community as recipients of nursing care. Course content will include assessment of health care needs of communities and populations to serve as basis for culturally appropriate health promotion and disease prevention activities. For the clinical portion of the course, students will adopt a community, assess their healthcare needs, and develop a project or program to assist in the resolution or alleviation of identified needs.
