Percussion Class

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to provide future music educators with basic information concerning teaching methods and performance techniques for the percussion family of musical instruments. The course is designed to promote an understanding of technical, pedagogical, historical, and stylistic aspects of percussion in preparation for instructing percussion students in primary and secondary schools.
