Health Care Management Practicum

Catalog description

This practicum course provides students with hands-on experience in medical and health services management by working alongside a healthcare manager in a chosen health/healthcare organization including a specialty area of interest. After securing a placement, students will apply their knowledge to real-world administrative, financial, and operational tasks. To successfully complete the practicum, students must fulfill 144 hours of supervised experience, enhancing their leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for a career in healthcare administration.
