Catalog description

This foundational course prepares students for Community Health Worker (CHW) positions in the health and social service fields by providing an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the CHW. Course emphasizes skill development in areas such as cultural humility and client-centered assessment, contact tracing, communication, health education and counseling.
