Catalog description

The Salon Management course is for the licensed cosmetologist, barber, esthetician, hairstylist or manicurist. Prepares students to operate a salon or spa with a focus on business operations and entrepreneurial practices. Students learn how to operate a salon, manage employees, build and sustain clientele and customer relations, foster a positive working environment, and employ sales techniques. Students learn about business regulations and laws, lease and rent agreements, business permits, and all business licensure that is required in California. Students develop a salon/spa business plan with a design layout.
