Catalog description
Through a combination of lecture and laboratory instruction, this course utilizes foundational principles in ecology and evolution to underpin the conceptual organization in the dynamic diversity of, and interactions between, living organisms and their environment. Concepts pertaining to energy, material, and information flow within and between organisms, populations, communities, and ecosystems are through lines in the introduction to macroevolution, phylogenetics, organismal diversity, anatomy and physiology, and ecology. Credit for BIO 52 or 52H, but not both.
