This course will provide instruction in the safe setup and operation of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) equipment with practice of V-Groove welds with a backing or back gouging in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions using various electrodes. Pre-requisite(s): WELD 1003 , WELD 1103 , WELD 1403 , WELD 1205 Concurrency: WELD 1123 , WELD 2225 Co-requisite(s): None
