Catalog description

The course continues the study of adult medical surgical care of patients with selected health conditions. Included with the conditions is the importance of providing patient centered care, therapeutic communication, supporting teamwork, and providing for patient safety. The significance of evidence-based practice, cultural diversity and quality improvement is also integrated to promote positive patient outcomes. Correlation of course content and patient care will be provided in hospital medical-surgical units in the community. Pre-requisite(s): NURS 2100 NURS 2120 BIOL 2100 Concurrency: NURS 2221
