English 2035 is an intensive study of the works of a variety of major American writers from the pre-colonial period to the present day. This course will expose students to American literary history by focusing on the historical and cultural contexts in which the literature was written and the changing conventions it employs. Equivalent to CENL 2173, Major American Writers, Louisiana Board of Regents Common Course Matrix. Pre-requisite(s): C or Better in ENGL 1010 Concurrency: None Co-requisite(s): None
