General concepts of broad biological principles for non-science majors: scientific method; biological molecules, cell structure, and function; genetics and evolution. Either BIOL 1000 OR BIOL 1010 may be used to fulfill degree plan requirements, but not both. Equivalent to CBIO 1013, General Biology I, Louisiana Board of Regents Common Course Matrix. Pre-requisite(s): ​ACT English score of 15 or above/equivalency to Accuplacer/SAT or a grade of “C” or better in ENGL 1010 Concurrency: None Co-requisite(s): None
