Catalog description

An intensive study of theory and practice for preventing, assessing, and intervening with reading problems in classrooms with diverse student populations, including second language learners. There is focus on utilization of formal and informal data collection and analysis of the literacy development of groups and individuals for the purposes of developing responsive instruction. Clinical experiences in the field required. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education program.
