Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the critical role that Emergency Management Services (EMS) play in emergency preparedness and disaster management. Students will examine key principles of emergency response, including risk assessment, planning, mitigation, response, and recovery. The course covers the coordination of EMS with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as the integration of emergency medical services into broader disaster response frameworks. Students will develop the skills necessary to effectively respond to emergencies and support community resilience.
