Principles of Biology I

Catalog description

The first course in a two-semester sequence addresses biological principles. This course covers topics from a molecular perspective. Area studies include the chemistry of life, the cell, respiration, photosynthesis, mitosis, meiosis, genetics, protein synthesis, and recombinant DNA technology. Some knowledge of chemistry is desirable. Prerequisite: Completing or exempting Support-level ENGL.
