A study of the development, and limitations of social welfare/social policy that authorizes and regulates the delivery of social welfare and social services programming in the United States. A strong emphasis is placed on students gaining an understanding of, and knowledge and skill in the analysis of social policy. Prerequisites and Corequisites Course prerequisites: POLS 100 - American Government (C) [SGR #3, HSDC] [CIV] , SOCW 200 - Introduction to Social Work
