Cultural Globalization

Catalog description

This course will explore theories and processes of cultural globalization. It will include an examination of the contemporary role of international organizations, experts, multinational corporations, and the internet in spreading (and transforming) norms and ideas globally. The course will also investigate tensions between the global and the local.
