Catalog description
This course examines the diversity of religious practice and belief from a geographical perspective. Each offering of the course will emphasize a different region of the world, with standard areas of study including North America and Europe, Middle East and Africa, South and Central America, and South and East Asia. The course will examine specific religious traditions (Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, etc.) as they occur in a geographical region, the relationship between religion and place, and how religions change and adapt to new locales. The course may be repeated up to four times. Note (C) denotes a common course.
