Catalog description

This course explores how nonprofits stay financially healthy while pursuing their mission. Students will learn how to build a nonprofit budget, make sense of financial information, and use that to answer practical questions leaders face: Can we afford a new program? Are we relying too much on one funding source? What do these numbers say about sustainability? In this course, students will gain practical financial skills that employers expect in nonprofit organizations. Cross-listed: Dual-listed with POLS 528. Note New course as of Summer 2027.
