Catalog description

This is an intermediate level study of geometrical and physical optics. Topics include analysis of refraction phenomena, thick lenses, wave nature of light, interference, diffraction, and polarization. Prerequisites and Corequisites Course prerequisites: PHYS 113 - Introduction to Physics II (C) [SGR #6, HSDC] , PHYS 209, or PHYS 213 - University Physics II (C) [SGR #6, HSDC] and MATH 225 - Calculus III (C) [SGR #5, HSDC] Note (C) denotes common course
