Catalog description

The course emphasizes ideas of computational physics and programming languages and skills for solving problems. Areas of application may include quantum mechanics, atomic physics, nuclear and particle physics, astrophysics, condensed matter physics, nonlinear dynamics and chaos, biophysics, materials science, engineering, and chemistry. Prerequisites and Corequisites Pre-reqs: PHYS 331/ PHYS 431 - Introduction to Modern Physics (C) AND one of the following: CSC 115 or CSC 170 / CSC 170L OR CSC 155 / CSC 155L OR CSC 151 OR CSC 150/150L OR INFO 101 Cross-listed: PHYS 449/549 Note Common course with SDSMT and SDSU
