Catalog description

This is a descriptive course that introduces students to solar system astronomy. Emphasis is placed on the development of astronomy, optical instruments and techniques, and solar system objects. This course meets System General Education Requirement: SGR #6 This course qualifies for High School Dual Credit: HSDC Prerequisites and Corequisites Course corequisite: PHYS 185L - Solar System Astronomy Laboratory (C) [SGR #6, HSDC] Note (C) denotes common course Name change effective Fall 2021 from Introduction to Astronomy I to Solar System Astronomy
