Catalog description

An in-depth study of collaborative piano performance, emphasizing technical, musical, and interpersonal skills necessary for successful ensemble playing. Students will engage in hands-on work with instrumental and vocal partners, focusing on score study, communication, stylistic interpretation, and performance preparation. The course prepares pianists for collaborative roles in chamber music, vocal accompanying and coaching, and professional music settings. Cross-listed: Dual-listed with MUS 561.
