Catalog description

Data plays an integral role for medical professionals when determining the presence or absence of disease, monitoring response to therapy, or maintaining general health. Students will correlate patient data with medical-physiological concepts to determine validity of laboratory results. Topics will include a review of basic operations used in the medical field; calculations to determine solution concentrations and dilutions; processing of medical statistics and quality control; and medical method evaluation. Prerequisites and Corequisites Corequisite: MLS 239L
