Catalog description

HSC 280 Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology is designed to introduce students to essential concepts in anatomy and physiology, including basic chemistry, cell and tissue studies, and an overview of all the body systems. Students are introduced to scientific thinking. Intended for allied health and social service programs, and as a general natural science course. This is a single semester course and is not intended for those students seeking admission to a professional health program such as nursing, dental hygiene, physical therapy, occupational therapy or physician assistant studies. This course meets System General Education Requirement: SGR #6 ​ This course qualifies for High School Dual Credit: HSDC Prerequisites and Corequisites Co-requisite: HSC 280L - Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab [SGR #6, HSDC]
