Financial Management of Long Term Care

Catalog description

This course addresses the financial management of nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, home health care agencies and other long-term care businesses. While narrow in its focus on long-term care, it is comprehensive in assembling the financial tools needed to quantify a strategic plan, develop a budget, implement and monitor budget performance, and merge clinical practice with reimbursement requirements. It is a specialty subset within the complex field of healthcare finance. Prerequisites and Corequisites Course prerequisite: HSAD 305 - Health Service Systems (C)
