Catalog description

Students develop and practice an understanding of the tools of: inquiry of K-8 math; the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate a variety of instructional moves, strategies and processes that incorporate learning resources, materials, technologies, and the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM) appropriate to K-8 math; the ability to assess student learning in K-8 math; and to apply these knowledge, skills, and attitudes to real life situations and experiences. Content in this course will parallel content in Math Concepts I. Prerequisites and Corequisites Prerequisite: MATH 341 - Math Concepts for Teachers I (C) Students will take this course concurrently or after successful completion of MATH 342 - Math Concepts for Teachers II (C) Note Starting Fall 2024, this course will change from 2 to 3 hours. Also prereq and coreq changed Fall 2024.
