Catalog description
This course is a continuation of CSC-155 and emphasizes the relationships between the data objects in computer programs, problem solving, algorithm design, standards of program style, debugging and testing. An object-oriented programming paradigm is used, focusing on the definition and use of classes along with the fundamentals of object-oriented design. The course includes an extension of the control structures and data structures of the high-level language introduced in CSC 155, basic analysis of algorithms, searching and sorting techniques. This course includes a 2-hour lab-based component. Prerequisites and Corequisites Prerequisite: CSC 155 - Introduction to Computer Science & Programming [HSDC] Co-requisite: CSC 255L - Intermediate Computer Programming Laboratory
