Catalog description

A study of the fundamental principles governing the behavior of chemical systems. Topics covered in the two-semester sequence include thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, quantum mechanics, and statistical mechanics. Prerequisites and Corequisites Prerequisites: MATH 123 and [ CHEM 114 or CHEM 326 ] + [ PHYS 113 , PHYS 209, or PHYS 213 ] Note (C) Denotes common course. Other universities teach as CHEM 342, USD has permission to teach at 442 to dual list with 542.
