A one-semester survey of chemistry. Introduction to the properties of matter, atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, kinetics, equilibrium, states of matter, solutions, and acid-base concepts. This course meets System General Education Requirement: SGR #6 This course qualifies for High School Dual Credit: HSDC Prerequisites and Corequisites Course prerequisite or co-requisite starting spring 2024: MATH 095 MATH 101 MATH 103 MATH 104 MATH 114 MATH 115 MATH 120 MATH 121 MATH 123 MATH 125 MATH-281/ STAT 281 or MATH-ACT 20 or higher, MATH-SAT 471 or higher, or Smarter Balance 2628 or higher.
