Catalog description

The course provides a quantitative, integrative approach to the fundamental principles of human physiology across all major organ systems. Using a systems framework grounded in control theory, feedback, and homeostasis, the course delivers a rigorous, quantitative treatment of membrane physiology, musculoskeletal, neurophysiology, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, endocrine, metabolic, and immune physiology, with continual emphasis on system interactions and whole-body regulation. Prerequisites and Corequisites Pre-req: MATH 123 - Calculus I (C) [SGR #5, HSDC] Note New course as of Fall 2026.
