Catalog description

This course will emphasize the mechanisms and regulation of systems physiology and complement topics presented in the lecture. Primary areas of study will include mammalian phylogenies, physiological systems (cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and renal physiology) and adaptation of mammals in extreme environments. This laboratory will simulate hands-on experiences and deeper learning while reinforcing problem solving skills, scientific communication, and collaboration. Prerequisites and Corequisites Prerequisites: BIOL 151 , BIOL 153 , and ( CHEM 326 or CHEM 310 ) Prerequisite or Corequisite: BIOL 456
