First Year Seminar (COM)

Catalog description

This course supports new majors as they transition into the Performing Arts. Students develop strategies for academic and artistic success through critical thinking, rehearsal and study habits, time management, emotional regulation, conflict management, and wellness. They will learn to navigate campus resources, plan their degrees, explore Performing Arts career paths, and build foundational professional skills that prepare them for success in their studies, artistic work, and future careers.
