Catalog description
Review introductory statistical experiments and basics of programming with data. Topics include parameter estimation, hypothesis testing, and model assumption evaluation in various contexts such as one-way and two-way analysis of variance, simple and multiple linear regression, factorial designs, and experimental design. Students will use statistical software to analyze data and will learn to effectively communicate the scientific reasoning, statistical procedures, and interpretations of their analysis. Prerequisites: STAT 281 or MATH/ STAT 381 or STAT 482 .
