Catalog description

This is a topics course that explores the exchange of ideas and cultural products and practices between the Iberian Peninsula, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean at different historical periods. By looking at these exchanges from the lens of various disciplines, and by understanding the conditions that shaped them, students will critically reflect on traditional notions of national, cultural, and ethnic identities and boundaries. Prerequisites: SPAN 330 . Notes: Repeatable up to 3 times for a maximum of 9 credits.
