First Year Seminar

Catalog description

First-year seminar course designed to introduce students to academic success strategies including study skills, time management, degree planning, setting goals, identifying campus resources for learning, developing professional written communication skills, and exploring campus offerings to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Students will also learn about the land-grant mission of SDSU, and guest speakers from agronomy, precision agriculture, and horticulture careers will present on skills required for successful entry into industry upon college graduation.
