Catalog description

This course focuses on the conservation and management of native and nongame wildlife, with special emphasis on species that are threatened. Topics to be covered include: wildlife laws, historical development of endangered/nongame programs, the Endangered Species Act, the USFWS endangered species program, research/management strategies, public education and involvement, role of zoos, and captive breeding programs. Prerequisites: NRM 311 .
