Catalog description

This course will provide a comprehensive overview of phlebotomy techniques and safe laboratory practices. Students will learn to perform venipuncture, capillary punctures, and other blood collection procedures, while adhering to strict infection control guidelines. Additionally, this course will cover patient confidentiality, specimen handling, and other best practices required in the medical laboratory. Registration Restriction: MLS professional program acceptance required or Phlebotomy Certificate.
