Catalog description

This course will examine the field of health promotion in terms of historical developments, professional standards, roles, theoretical foundations, ethics and emerging trends in public health. The course will also examine the capabilities and limitations of government, key health policy issues, and strategies for becoming an agent of change and reform. It will explore the role of health professionals in shaping public health policy, influencing social policy, and advocating for community-level changes.
