Catalog description

This course discusses the basic characteristics of derivative instruments, such as forwards, futures, options, and swaps, and their applications to corporate strategy and risk management as well as to portfolio management. Topics include basic features of futures and options, option strategies, valuation and hedging techniques, financial risk management, and derivatives market mechanisms. Prerequisites: ACCT 210 , ACCT 211 , FIN 310 , FIN 411 , and MATH 121 or MATH 123 . ​
