Catalog description
This course will promote awareness and application of the foundational skills necessary for beginning readers. Views of reading will be explored, as well as practical approaches for teaching literacy skills and engagement with books in the classroom. In addition, culturally responsive approaches to reading instruction and the use of notable children’s literature will be explored. Cross-Listed: ECE 471 .
