Catalog description

The second semester of a two-semester sequence course addressing dairy herd management practices. Production testing and records interpretation; impacts of cropping systems and commodity markets; labor requirements and Human Resources implications; building and equipment requirements; animal health and reproduction; merchandising of cattle and milk; and factors affecting economic returns of dairy farming. Prerequisites: DS 130 , DS 480 , and ( ECON 201 or ECON 202 ). Corequisites: DS 481L . Notes: Even Spring.
