Catalog description

A one-semester survey of chemistry. Not intended for those needing an extensive chemistry background. Introduction to the properties of matter, atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, kinetics, equilibrium, states of matter, solutions, and acid-base concepts. Prerequisites: Completion or concurrent registration in one of the following: [MATH 095, MATH 101 , MATH 103 , MATH 104, MATH 114 , MATH 115 , MATH 120 , MATH 121 , MATH 123 , MATH 125 or MATH/ STAT 281 ] or MATH-ACT 20 or higher, MATH-SAT 471 or higher, or Smarter Balance 2628 or higher. Corequisites: CHEM 106L . Notes: Course meets SGR #6.
