Basic principles of physical geology and soil mechanics from a civil and environmental engineering prospective; Topics include minerals, rocks, mechanics of rock materials, weathering, engineering properties of soil, unified soil classification system, groundwater, subsurface contamination, hazardous geologic processes, and waste disposal methods. Prerequisites: CEE 216 and CEE 216L . Corequisites: CEE 340L .
