Provides the first two parts of specific curriculum required for licensure by Appraisal Qualifications Board for individuals seeking a career in professional valuation services. Principles of valuation and appraisal procedures with concentration on the valuation process and techniques to apply. Topics include real property concepts and characteristics, legal considerations, influences on real estate values, types of value, economic principles, market area analysis, highest and best use, and ethical considerations. Prerequisites: BLAW 433 . Registration Restriction: Junior standing or higher.
