Catalog description

Comprehensive introduction to the structure and function of major biological macromolecules—amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids. Topics include enzyme catalysis, kinetics, inhibition, and core metabolic pathways such as glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, the citric acid cycle, oxidative phosphorylation, lipid metabolism, and amino acid metabolism. Concludes with an integrated study of mammalian fuel metabolism and the regulation and coordination of metabolic pathways.
