English Composition I provides instruction and practice in the writing of at least six (6) extended compositions and the development of analytical and critical reading skills and basic reference and documentation skills in the composition process. English Composition I may include instruction and practice in library usage. Prerequisite: ACT English score of 18 (ACT English score of 17 with ENG 099 co-requisite course), or an appropriate high school GPA and English IV grade, or an Accuplacer WritePlacer score of 5 (Accuplacer WritePlacer score of 4 with ENG 099 co-requisite course), or successful completion of ENR 098 (or ENR 094) with a grade of C or higher. Code A - AGSC approved transfer courses in Areas I-IV that are common to all institutions.
