Catalog description

Course/Catalog Description: Advanced Scene Study is an intensive, pre-professional level course designed for students who have completed the foundational acting sequence. Students will work intensively on texts of various genres and styles, applying integrated acting techniques to challenging material with advanced performance demands. Emphasis is placed on advanced character analysis, subtext and layered behavior, risk-taking, and transformation of self through demanding scene work. Students will develop the advanced skills required to compete as professional actors. 3 credits Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
