Advanced Acting Studio

Catalog description

Advanced Acting Studio is a course designed to provide practical application and integration of advanced techniques and skills learned in concurrent junior and senior acting coursework. Students apply and practice advanced acting techniques including on-camera performance, classical theatre work, professional audition skills, and pre-professional performance standards in a supportive studio environment. The course provides essential scaffolding for skill development and preparation for jury assessments, Senior Showcase, and professional careers. May be repeated for credit up to 3 times. 1 credit CAPP prerequisite: THEA 299 : Intermediate Acting Studio (taken twice) OR permission of instructor Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
