Functions of random variables, sampling distributions, introduction to mathematical theory of statistical inference, including methods of moments, estimators, maximum likelihood estimators, sufficient statistics, interval estimates, and hypothesis testing. Students with a semester level of Freshman 1, Freshman 2 or Sophomore 1 may not enroll.
