Catalog description
This course is designed to provide students with an in depth look at the many facets of social competence for students with ASD and how the lack of or impaired communications skills leads to social incompetence. Special emphasis will be given to selecting evidence-based practices related to social skill development as well as communication problems related directly to students with ASD. Twenty hours of observation and field experience are part of the course requirements. Enrollment is limited to Graduate level students.
